Cromwell is strategically located as a holiday centre for the whole of Central Otago. In recent times, terms such as “Cromwell – the Gateway to Central Otago”, and “Cromwell: Central to Everywhere” have been used to encapsulate and provide an image for the town.
On the shores of Lake Dunstan, Cromwells centrality to Wanaka (55km), Queenstown (62km) and the remainder of Central Otago makes it a great location for easy day trips to all corners of Central Otago. With the winter ski fields of The Remarkables, Coronet Peak, Treble Cone, Cardrona and Waiorau Snow Farm all within comfortable driving distances Cromwell is a great place to be based.
Cromwell also allows national transport firms, major industrial firms and small tradespeople to be centrally located and readily able to service the adjacent towns.
