This Lester Rowntree venture is presently being planned for the State highway 6 and Ripponvale Road corner of the Cromwell Racecourse Reserve.
As of April 2011, all resource consents have been obtained and building of a 70 x 40 metre building to house the facility awaiting a start.

Highlands Motorsport Park
A Southern hemisphere first will change the landscape of motorsport in New Zealand!
The brand new 4.8 km international-standard circuit is being constructed near the township of Cromwell, approximately 50km from tourism mecca Queenstown on New Zealand’s spectacular South Island.
The new Highlands circuit is primarily being constructed as an exclusive members-only facility, a concept successfully utilised in the Northern hemisphere, but new south of the equator.
The 4.5 km circuit will feature three complete tracks that can be used at the same time. An 800 metre kart track is also under construction.
