Villa Amo, situated on the shore of Lake Dunstan approximately 8km north of Cromwell along the Wanaka Road, is a neo-classical Roman style villa, built in 1996. It offers peace and tranquillity with outstanding views of the Pisa Range to the west, the Lake and rugged Dunstan Mountains to the east, with Cromwell, Bannockburn and the magnificent Carrick and Cairnmuir Ranges to the south.
Our guest room has a very comfortable queen-size bed awaiting you, tea/coffee-making facilities with fridge, 20" TV with Teletext. There is a full guest share bathroom adjacent. We also have a second room with a double bed if required for a larger party. Your party will be our only guests while you are with us. We serve a continental or full-cooked breakfast to start the day at a time that is convenient to you, and for dinner, there are many eating places in Cromwell or the surrounding district. For the safety and comfort of our guests, Villa Amo is a smoke-free zone. Our guests are most welcome to relax under the stars in our outdoor therapeutic spa pool. Cromwell has an amazing range of attractions: excellent fishing summer or winter (including float tubes); EcoExperience tours; golf; wine trails; orchard tours; historic gold mining areas; or a walk around nostalgic Old Cromwell town. For the more adventurous, there are many interesting walks, horse riding, bungy jumping, and five excellent ski fields all within an hours drive.
Cromwell is ideally situated for day excursions to Queenstown, Wanaka, Alexandra and many other historic towns of beautiful Central Otago.
