The Gate Lake Dunstan Triathlon & Duathlon
The Gate Lake Dunstan Triathlon & Duathlon forms part of the action-packed Subway Cromwell Summer Series that comprises this event plus two MTB rides, a road cycle race and a half marathon.
TRIATHLON Category One:
Swim 300m, road cycle 22.4km and run 5.8km.
MULTISPORT KAYAK RACE Category Two:
Kayak 5.5km, road cycle 22.4km and run 5.8km. The transition point is located at the boat ramp adjacent to the toilets in McNulty Inlet. It is a metalled surface.
Run 3km, road cycle 22.4km, run 5.8km.
Individual: Open Male, Open Female, Veteran Male (40+), Veteran Female (35+), Junior (Under 18).
Teams (2 or 3 members): Male/Female/Mixed/Junior.
Junior (under 18): Male, Female.
Assembly point is the toilet area at the head of McNulty Inlet, from 8.30am. Car parks are available in the adjacent ‘Rotary Glen’ reserve. Please be early to register you or your team to assist our timing crew. Although entries will be accepted on the day, it would be appreciated if you could post yours at least one week before the event or better still enter online.
Run 5km or 10km on the new cycle trail alongside the lake.
This is a ‘Multisport NZ’ sanctioned event.
Registration & Briefing
Registration is from 8.30am at the boat ramp, but please try to register as soon as possible. You will receive a transponder and race number at registration. All equipment shall be the competitor’s responsibility and shall conform in all ways to the ‘Race Rules’.
Briefing will be at 9.15am at the boat ramp (transition point). Competitors must listen carefully to instructions at the briefing, and note that an ‘Event Plan’ and ‘Race Rules’ will be available for inspection. Copies of the ‘Race Briefing’ will be available at the Registration Desk.
Note that persons who do not sign the ‘Entry Form’ nor attend the ‘Race Briefing’ will not be allowed to enter the race.
Parking, refreshments and social facilities will be available at the Boat Club.
