Grapeview Bed & Breakfast
Surrounded by thyme-covered hills in the historic gold mining township of Bannockburn, a stay at the unique Grapeview Bed & Breakfast is one you will remember for years to come.
The modern self-contained apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms(master and twin single), laundry, bathroom, living area and private courtyard garden. In addition guests can access a full-sized billiard table, free internet and an outdoor barbecue and pizza oven.
In Suz and Lloyd Allison’s rambling one acre garden, you will find almond, walnut and cherry trees, vegetable and flower gardens, a boutique vineyard and friendly free range hens.
The couple pride themselves on giving all their guests a warm welcome and a relaxing and enjoyable experience here in the ‘Heart of the Desert’, in beautiful Central Otago.
Five minutes drive from Cromwell, Bannockburn’s rugged, arid landscape is home to some of New Zealand’s most highly acclaimed vineyards. Visit Mt Difficulty (a dining experience not to be missed), Felton Road, Carrick, Akarua, Ceres and more. Scenic walks and cycle tracks wind their way through historic gold mining workings and hills, some accessed right from the back doorstep. Artists abound around Bannockburn and there is an excellent Arts Trail covering the wider area. Just up the road are lakes and rivers, ski fields, a championship golf course and the Highlands Motorsport Park.
