About the event
The Cromwell Street Party & Fireworks returns in 2026, bringing one of Central Otago’s most anticipated community celebrations back to the Cromwell Heritage Precinct over the Labour Weekend period.
Families and friends will once again gather in the heart of the precinct for an evening of live entertainment, vibrant street performances, and a lively atmosphere filled with activity and connection. A wide range of food vendors will be on site, offering delicious local flavours and street-style dining throughout the night.
As evening falls, the precinct comes alive with music, colour, and entertainment for all ages, creating a welcoming space to relax, explore, and enjoy the festivities together.
The night builds to a spectacular finale as fireworks light up the sky above Lake Dunstan, reflecting across the water for a memorable closing moment.
Delivered by the Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group, this much-loved event continues to celebrate what makes Cromwell special; community, creativity, and connection.
