Dear Fellow Cromwellian
The Cromwell & Districts Promotions Group (CDPG) has been encouraging people to play and stay in Cromwell since 1987. As a proud part of this thriving community, we support and drive many of the initiatives that help to make Cromwell a great destination to visit and an even better place to live.
The CDPG is behind the Subway Cromwell Summer Series, a five-event sporting series that gives athletes of all abilities the opportunity to practice their sport in our beautiful landscape. We are also the proud hosts of the Street Party and Fireworks, the National Cherry Spitting Competition which is held at the yearly Cherry Festival, and Light Up Winter. Besides these events, we have also been instrumental in driving various community initiatives, including the WiFi at the Mall that is set to go live in November as well as the Ambassador Programme.
We also promote the region and local businesses on various platforms, including our own Walk Cromwell and Discover Cromwell brochures and our online platforms – this website (oldsite.oldsite.cromwell.org.nz) and the Cromwell, Central Otago Facebook page.
While the bulk of our funding comes from the Cromwell Community Board, we are still very dependent on sponsorships and contributions to continue our work for the region. That is why we are once again calling upon our community for support in this 2018/2019 financial year.
Your donation of $100 plus GST will help us continue to foster the community spirit Cromwell is known for, and support us in growing and improving the events under our banner.
We are heartened by regular feedback from newcomers and long-term residents alike about the great community vibe of our town.
