Cromwell Street Party & Fireworks 2025 — A Dazzling Night to Remember ✨

Updated: Nov 4

Cromwell’s much-loved Street Party & Fireworks once again lit up the Heritage Precinct — and what a night it was! The weather dances paid off — with the warmth of the community shining through, it turned out just right for everything to go ahead as planned, and was perfect for the fireworks spectacular that rounded out the evening in true Cromwell style.

Food vendors served up mouth-watering delights, while creative workshops drew record numbers eager to contribute to the collaborative artwork. The entertainment lineup was nothing short of spectacular — from the vibrant Filipino community showcase and the mesmerising Desert Roses belly dancers, to the infectious grooves of Latin Soul. The Cromwell Line Dancing flash mob was a real highlight, with locals grooving and moving together, drawing the crowds in — a truly special moment of shared fun and connection.

Circus Space’s aerial acrobatics left everyone spellbound, with both junior and senior performers delivering mesmerising feats high above the crowd.

Local favourites Offshore proved once again they’re here to stay, delivering a stellar set that supported a talented youth act and timed perfectly with the fireworks crescendo — simply magical! The magician, hula hoop workshops, face-painting, fairies, and those giant bubbles were crowd-pleasers as always, while Barnardos Early Learning Centre kept little ones entertained with lawn games and crafts.

The Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group is proud to deliver events that remain accessible and affordable for everyone — with gold-coin entry only — thanks to the generous support of our valued funders — Central Otago District Council's Promotional Grant via the Cromwell Community Board, Aotearoa Gaming Trust, and Otago Community Trust — as well as local businesses including Santana Minerals and Signature Homes Central Otago, along with other in-kind supporters and volunteers.

As the night drew to a close, all eyes turned to the sky for the grand finale — a spectacular fireworks display launched from a barge on Lake Dunstan. Reflected across the water, it took everyone’s breath away and was the perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration.

Once again, Cromwell came together — locals and visitors alike — to celebrate community at its very best.
