Winter can be dull and dreary, especially when the fog rolls into town. Luckily, Cromwellians have something to look forward to that is sure to brighten up even the darkest day. The second Light Up Winter event will be held on Friday, 27 July in the Cromwell Mall, but the fun will start before then.
Businesses around town will be lighting up their window displays in The Central App Best Winter Window competition from the middle of July. The public can also get into the action. By voting for your favourite display via the Central App, you stand the chance of winning a stunning hamper.
Just like last year, the fun Light Up Your Hat competition will be held on the evening of Light Up Winter. Bring your fun, funky, weird, and unusual hat creation to Harcourts in the mall between 23 and 27 July to enter the competition. There is more than $1 000 worth in prizes to be won in the three categories: Kids under 10; Kids 11 -18; and Adults.
There will be lots of delicious food to eat, an assortment of drinks to quench your thirst and, of course, mulled wine to keep the cold at bay, so be sure to make a night of it!
