What you need to know about parking at Light Up Winter

Light Up Winter is taking place at Anderson Park Rose Garden, right in the heart of Cromwell.

Given Anderson Park is well connected by greenways – and with the Wooing Tree Walkway linking the town seamlessly – why not leave the wheels behind and come on foot?

Let’s glow up the pathways and connect with neighbours and friends en route!

If you are travelling by vehicle, please note that the upper car park at Anderson Park (opposite the Cromwell Medical Centre) will be closed to the public from 6pm Friday 1st August through to 12pm Sunday 3rd August, as this area becomes part of the event and hosts one of our food zones. A section of the lower Anderson Park car park (outside NRG Gym) will also be cordoned off for event supplier access. We sincerely thank you for your understanding.

There is still plenty of parking available in other public car parks nearby, all within a short walk of the venue. Please respect residents and avoid parking in private or clearly marked homeowner spaces. Be considerate when parking in surrounding neighbourhoods.

The event area is fully accessible, with no stairs and smooth pathways throughout.

For those with mobility needs, designated public mobility parking spaces are available in several convenient locations: outside the Cromwell Medical Centre and Cromwell Dental (off Waenga Drive), in the main Mall car park, outside Central Lakes Trust and the Cromwell Library. These locations are among the closest to the park, offering smooth and convenient access to the event. Please ensure your vehicle displays a valid mobility parking permit.
